Sidecar // the studio is a one-person studio operating from Coffs Harbour, NSW. Michael is the person who reads what you send and the person who replies. There is no team, no CRM full of prospects, and no agency behind it.

If you send the form on this site: your name, your email address, and — only if you fill them in — your phone number, your business name, your website address, how customers currently enquire with you, and whatever you write in the message field.
If you use the check demo before sending the form, it also carries across what you typed in the two fields (what you do and where you are), the three questions it generated from them, and whether you told it your business came up or something else did.
That is the whole list. Nothing is collected in the background, and nothing is bought in from anywhere else.
Replying to you. That is the only purpose. If you mention your website, Michael looks at it before answering, because that is what decides whether the work is a rebuild or working within what you already have.
Your details are not added to a mailing list, not used for advertising, and not sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing. There is no newsletter to be unsubscribed from because there is no newsletter.
Submissions are stored in a hosted Postgres database (Neon) and sent on by email through Resend, which delivers both the notification to Sidecar and the acknowledgement back to you. This site is hosted on Vercel.
Those are established providers, and like most internet infrastructure their servers may sit outside Australia. Sending the form means accepting that your details may be handled overseas by those providers on Sidecar's behalf.
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other sites, and does not identify you. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel and no retargeting tag on this site.
Enquiries are kept while there is a live conversation, and afterwards as a record of who has been in touch. If you would rather that record didn't exist, say so and it is deleted.
Email hello@sidecarthestudio.com and ask. You can have a copy of what was submitted, have it corrected, or have it deleted. No form to fill in and no reason required.
It gets updated here and the date at the top changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions, and there is no attempt to notify anyone, so this page is the current position.
